Other red flags include monitoring store visit intervals. For example, each store is assigned an interval (days)
in which a RAE needs to visit. If this threshold is passed, a red flag alert is automatically sent to their
denoted manager. In addition, a RAE can self generate a red flag and distribute and entire store record
including notes directly to their manager, inventory or marketing department as desired. This enables the
RAEs and their managers to provide close to real time customer service for that store with a written record
of the incident for immediate and continual follow up as needed. Red flags also existing for store level, area,
region and national inventory levels for each make and model phone.
Westlake’s AirMobility.Net wireless middleware was modified to accommodate the specific reporting needs
of Nextel at a local, area, regional and national levels. Extranet functions included Reports, Red Flags,
Thresholds, Marketing Forms, Administration and full online Help.
Reports
The AirMobility.Net Middleware used in this project was already designed to provide extensive reporting
capability. Nextel required that different types of reports were organized in a tab style format. This would
make for an easy-to-use user interface and quick assess to the specific information desired. All collected data
would support complete control of data ranges, sorting by RAE, Area, Region, or National, by retailer, store
ID, etc.
